  • The event has received more than 150 papers for its technical sessions and academic congress, reinforcing its role as a platform for knowledge, research and international exchange.
  • Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2026 will place a strong focus on the growth of the offshore market, an emerging trend in a region historically linked to onshore development.

Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, April 30, 2026.- Salvador will host a new edition of Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2026 from May 27 to 29, bringing together key players from the oil and gas sector across Brazil’s North and Northeast regions. The international event will convene companies, operators, suppliers, investors, institutions, public bodies, researchers and industry professionals in a setting designed to foster business opportunities, technical exchange and international cooperation.

The event will be held at the Salvador Convention Center, with free registration available for visitors. In its fourth edition, Bahia Oil & Gas Energy strengthens its position as a strategic platform connecting the entire oil and gas value chain, from exploration and production to transportation, refining, petrochemicals, distribution, shipbuilding, energy integration and new opportunities linked to offshore development.

One of the central themes of this year’s edition will be the expansion of the offshore market. In a region where the oil and gas sector has traditionally been closely associated with onshore activity, the rise of new offshore opportunities marks a new stage for the industry, with implications for investment, technology, talent, suppliers, logistics and industrial capabilities.

“Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2026 comes at a particularly relevant moment for the sector. For years, the market in Brazil’s North and Northeast regions has been strongly associated with onshore activity, but today we are seeing a clear trend toward offshore, which is gaining momentum and creating new opportunities for companies, institutions and professionals. The event aims to be the meeting point where this evolution can be discussed, understood and translated into real business opportunities,” said Nicolás Honorato, Director of Bahia Oil & Gas Energy.

The 2026 program will include an exhibition area, conferences, business matchmaking meetings, thematic arenas, technical sessions, an academic congress, training courses and technical visits. Through these spaces, the event seeks to support both the development of commercial agreements and the exchange of specialized knowledge, while strengthening connections between Brazilian and international companies.

Among the main new features of this edition are the training courses, created to provide practical and technical knowledge to students, young professionals and profiles already working in the industry. This new area of activity reinforces the event’s educational dimension and responds to the need to prepare specialized talent for an industry undergoing transformation.

Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2026 has also received more than 150 papers for its technical sessions and academic congress, reflecting growing interest from universities, research centers, professionals and technical organizations in contributing to the debate on the future of oil and gas in Brazil and internationally.

“Receiving more than 150 papers shows that Bahia Oil & Gas Energy is not only a business platform, but also a knowledge platform. The industry needs research, training and technical dialogue in order to grow competitively. That is why this year we are placing special emphasis on connecting companies, academia and talent,” Honorato added.

Another key component of the event will be the business matchmaking program, designed to promote meetings between purchasing companies and national and international suppliers. This format will help identify commercial opportunities, generate partnerships and open new avenues for collaboration in an increasingly dynamic market.

The program will also include main plenary sessions, thematic arenas focused on innovation, ESG, investment and commercial development, as well as activities aimed at students and emerging professionals. With this approach, Bahia Oil & Gas Energy 2026 seeks to offer a comprehensive view of the industry, from major strategic discussions to the concrete needs of operators, suppliers and technical professionals.

With this new edition, Salvador, Bahia, will once again position itself on the international oil and gas map, reinforcing its role as a hub for industry, knowledge, investment and innovation in Brazil’s North and Northeast regions.
